    The camera supports 1080p output to a TV through the HDMI cable. You are correct though, there is no video recoding capabilities.

    I saw on the box 1080 HD. I’m wondering what that’s referring to since this camera doesn’t have any video?

    @DanCruzNYC,
    Wait for the Fuji HS 10 bridge camera that will be released very soon. Has HD video recording.

    Awesome review for a newbie DSLR first timer like me. I never owned a camera and dont want to be stuck on a point and click camera. This made it seem clear and easy to understand. Thank you for you time on making this.

    @steffelinoo I would go for the Canon I guess, not that I don’t like Sony, I do cause I have an Alpha 200, but I just don’t like the design on this one. I particularly don’t like the grip on this one. Sony just made their DSLR cameras too similar to those digital zoom cameras. :)

    great review, i am a novice just starting my hobby. I was looking at the nikon D3000, but the sony won me over on the fact that it has a wide range of lens interchangablity through diffrent brands whereas the Nikon is not compatabile.
