Technically the Canon 450d is better, however, Nikon has that special look, feel, and lense sharpness that I think Canon cannot replicate. Also, my grandmothers Canon point and shoot failed when we were in the middle of a tour in Italy. It only turned on after missing out on some great photography.

the nikon wins in my opinion , i just like NIKON better then canon, but both are nice camera, but i went with nikon bec A) i like the lenses B) I wanted a d300 and i didnt want a 50d Canon
