history doesn’t look like history when its happening… i wonder what they”ll sing about our generation one day

My dad just retired and moved back home to Winters,TX. Your typical small Texas town w/one light. When I go see him, He likes to take rides through the back roads. And point out the fields he and his brothers and sisters would work on. Just to help out the family. He was diagnosed with cancer last week. we take alot more rides now.

This song reminds me of my dad and 13 of his brothers.on how rough they had it when they were younger.from the stories of their dad would be gone hunting .And with no power and on Christmas eve they watched the neighbor’s Christmas lights.And only ate popcorn for a whole week years a go.really have too say they had it tough back then.This song reminds me of those story’s my dad told me..
