after that just follow instructions in the video. Once plugged in you go the the playback menu. at the playback menu there is an option of record control. Once you click that the video of the tv should be showing on the camera. If you still dont get what im saying, i show you on my camera in the video if you watch in about 3 mins.

Hi. I have a Sony camcorder similar to yours, and I want to do this but there’s something that’s bothering me. Well, I plug the cables into my camcorder, then into my television. I don’t know what to do next! I turn on my TV and I turn on my camcorder but nothing shows up on my camcorder. It simply shows the room, as if I were recording – and no video changes. help please!

My camera is a Panasonic PV-GS 80 camera. It looks like you know ALOT about electronics. How would you do it with my camera?

well i couldnt find anything about it on the manual but there has to be some kind of option on this camera to record tv. Maybe something like dv in mode or something. Play with the menus of both edit and record or whatever other menus there are and if u find something that has anything that might possible display an image of tv on the camcerderscreen, click it and see of any of the modes display the tv. Thats all i can say cuz i dont have camera in hand bu i think it could have the option.

i dont think yours would have the option because i checked the manual everywhere and it said nothing about inputing device into camera until i made it to end, it say not to connect and ouput from device because it might damage camera.
