i do heard that on color depth is most accurate when comparted in hdtv and realised that its true..panasonic is completely red based and not to stand with sony;…you guys can pep for canon or sony and fz35 from panasonic..

i’m just kidding. Well, from what I know compact digital cameras can’t really capture that much of a detail when you’re zooming from a long distance. Unless if you’re at the middle row of a concert for instance, that could give you good recording picture.
i have this camera, and sony camera, give me this camera any day , sony are only starting out in the camera world , and are over priced, this camera has some nice tricks and tools for its price, it has Digital zoom , not sure if its optical . , but has a nice wide angle shots . 28mm

Ok so I want a new camera (something like this) like a REALLY REALLY good one that has a really good zoom, and is extremely HD. because I want to use it for all the concerts I go too. Because sometimes Im really far away and I want to be able to get a good zoom and get good clear pictures. any suggestions??

jsflysrc, the picture quality from the canon is great, i think you dont know how to use a cam like this, so you better stay by your little sony toy

The HD video is very good. But if you care about the still picture quality, stay away from this camera. The picture quality is really poor! The picture is always hazy. My 5 year old Sony Cybershot has a much better quality picture. I returned it and purchased the Lumix-ZS3.
should i get this camera or the powershot sd940 which has 4x zoom? cuz i really like the portability of the sd940, but i also like the sx200is’s 12x zoom. is this a good tradeoff? hows the flash on the powershot sx200is? is it bright?
